The US armed Forces attacked the Iranian island of Qeshm, and shot down several Iranian missiles and drones. This was announced on June 2 by the Central Command (CENTCOM) of the United States Armed Forces.

"On June 2, American forces successfully intercepted several Iranian ballistic missiles and drones, and launched self—defense strikes on Qeshm Island in response to attempted attacks from Iran in the Middle East," a post on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
