The OP opposed the addition of additional holidays per year
In Russia, there is no need to add additional holidays, as Russians already have enough time to rest. This opinion was expressed on June 3 by Olga Golyshenkova, Deputy chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on Economics and Labor Relations.
"As for the number of holidays, from the point of view of the global balance, Russians have enough rest. Moreover, we are now living in a time of mobilization, when we simply do not have the right to add additional rest days," she said in an interview with TASS.
Commenting on the continuity of the May holidays, Golyshenkova noted that at the moment there is no need for complete changes, since in the current system people can organize their holidays.
"Gardeners and travelers actively use the first warm weekend in May, and many take time off these days — it's natural," she said.
On June 1, TASS reported that in June, Russian citizens will have a long weekend off in connection with the celebration of Russia Day, and before them there will be a short working week lasting four days. The next shortened working week is expected in November.
