Deputies of the Fair Russia faction will prepare and submit to the State Duma a bill on providing parents of 9th and 11th grade graduates with a paid day off to attend graduation. This was announced on June 3 by the party's leader, the head of the Duma faction, Sergei Mironov.

"We will prepare and submit to the State Duma a new bill on providing paid days off for graduation and Knowledge Day. With all the desire, the State Duma will not have time to consider it in this convocation, but we will seek a solution to the issue after the elections — in the next convocation of the State Duma," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Mironov noted that parents should be able to take a day off to attend the graduation ceremony or graduation after the child finishes 9th or 11th grade. According to the politician, many families have been waiting for this moment for years, and parents often experience such a day even more deeply than children.

The party leader stressed that such a day off should be paid. According to him, it is proposed to fix a similar rule for Knowledge Day on September 1.

Vladislav Grib, Deputy Secretary of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, announced on May 20 that school teaching staff should be awarded bonuses based on the results of each academic year. According to him, when assigning payments, it is important to take into account the personal contribution of each teacher. Among the criteria, he named the rating, length of service, workload, classroom management and conducting additional education sections.
