Four people died in an accident in the Leningrad region.
Four residents of Cherepovets, including two children, were killed in a traffic accident in the Leningrad region. This was announced on June 3 by the Governor of the Vologda region, Georgy Filimonov.
"The tragic news came at the end of the day. Four residents of Cherepovets, including two small children, were killed in a road accident in the Leningrad region," the message says in the Maks messenger.
According to the governor, the incident occurred on the A-114 highway in the Tikhvin district. According to preliminary data, the driver of the car lost control, drove into the oncoming lane, as a result of which he collided with another car. It is specified that in the second vehicle there were a 27-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man, as well as a one-and-a-half-year-old and a three-year-old child, all passengers died as a result of an accident.
The report notes that the drivers were injured and were taken to a medical facility, and the circumstances of the incident are currently being determined. Filimonov said that he had decided to allocate 1 million rubles to the families of the deceased countrymen.
On June 2, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia informed Izvestia that 292 road accidents had occurred on Russian roads over the past day, in which 33 people were killed and 355 injured. It is noted that as a result of 52 accidents involving pedestrians, four people were killed, 48 more were injured in various degrees of severity, while 28 accidents involving buses were recorded, in which 40 road users.
