The RF CC proposed to exempt large families from the tourism tax
Large families should be exempt from the tourist tax. This proposal was made on June 3 by Sergey Rybalchenko, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on demography, protection of family, children and traditional family values.
"In order to support large families, it is necessary to abolish the tourist tax for this category of Russians," he said in an interview with TASS.
According to Rybalchenko, this measure will promote the development of domestic tourism, as well as emphasize government support for family vacations. He noted that a solution to this initiative will be provided this year, which will allow many families to save a little on their summer holidays. This is especially important, given that the cost of the trip and the amount of the tourist tax are increasing due to the large number of children, concluded the agency interlocutor.
Vladislav Grib, Deputy Secretary of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, said on May 11 that free travel on toll roads should be introduced for large families in Russia, which would help reduce the financial burden on families with children and support domestic tourism. He noted that such a support measure would be especially in demand in areas with large tourist flows.
