A man was injured in a bear attack in northern Slovakia.
In the village of Stranyava in the Zhilinsky region of Slovakia, a bear attacked a man. This was announced on June 2 by the Slovak broadcasting company STVR.
"A 36-year—old patient was taken to a hospital in Zhilina with superficial neck injuries," said Petra Klimeshova, a spokeswoman for the Center for Operational Management of the ambulance Service of the Slovak Republic.
It is noted that a rescue helicopter was sent to assist the victim. The local administration urged residents to refrain from leaving the built-up area of the village until further instructions are received.
