The dialogue between Russia and the United States on the elimination of "irritants" continues. This was announced on June 2 by Alexander Gusarov, Director of the North Atlantic Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"The dialogue between the Russian Foreign Ministry and the US State Department on the elimination of "irritants" does not stop and is conducted at the level of relevant experts on a regular, systematic basis," he said in an interview with the International Life magazine.

According to Gusarov, the last meeting took place a few weeks ago. He clarified that at the moment there are results, the most important thing is to stabilize the functioning of the foreign institutions of Russia and the United States at a satisfactory level. However, he clarified that there are still many tasks to be solved.

"As for the unilateral American restrictions you mentioned, they have never been the subject of our dialogue on "irritants." We consider such restrictions as a priori an illegitimate instrument of pressure on our country, which in principle cannot be subject to discussion and negotiation exchanges," Gusarov concluded.

Former member of the U.S. House of Representatives Marjorie Taylor-Green said on June 1 that the country should be an ally and trading partner of Russia. She also noted that Americans should keep tax money at home so that it can be spent on the needs of citizens.
