People of creative professions should not "leave the bright side of history" and "work for Satan", corrupting other people. This was announced on June 2 by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia at the ceremony of awarding the winners of the Patriarchal Literary Prize in the hall of church cathedrals of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow.

"Today I appeal to all talented people who write, who direct films, who generally influence [people] through art — do not corrupt people, do not work for Satan! It is Satan who corrupts people and kills their moral sense. It destroys the boundary between the animal world and the human world. If someone is pushing you to do this, cross yourself and turn away from this person, because he comes from the devil," said the patriarch.
