In the West, Zelensky was urged to listen to "people who advocate for peace"
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky should listen to "people who advocate peace" and end the conflict now. This opinion was expressed on June 2 by Finnish politician Armando Mema, a member of the Freedom Alliance party.
"Zelensky does not need to wait for the end of this year to end the conflict. He can end it today by liberating Donbass, accepting Russia's requests for peace talks and renouncing NATO membership," the message on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
According to the politician, Europe is not able to provide Ukraine with the necessary amount of assistance to continue the conflict.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on June 2 that the conflict in Ukraine could be resolved before the end of the day — for this Zelensky needs to give an order to the armed forces to leave the territory of the Russian regions.
