More than 23 km of the Vilyui highway will be repaired in the Angara region in two years

In the Bratsk district of the Irkutsk region, 23.3 km of the A-331 Vilyui federal highway are planned to be repaired within two years. This is reported by the regional government.

We are talking about a section of the highway from 139th to 162nd km. According to the Acting Minister of Transport and Road Management of the region Daria Selekh, now the roadway is made of concrete slabs, which does not meet modern standards.

So, the work will take place from the village of Pokosnoye to the entrance to the village of Kuznetsovka. Local residents have repeatedly asked to put the road in order, Selekh noted.

According to the information provided by the Department of Internal Affairs "Baikal Region", two layers of asphalt will be laid on the site and markings will be applied. The works will start in 2027 and be completed in 2028, they will be carried out under the national project "Infrastructure for Life".

According to IrkutskMedia news agency, in 2026, measures are planned to install wear layers and eliminate defects on two sections of the Vilyu highway with a total length of 27 km. The work will take place on the sections from 264th to 274th km and from 313th to 330th km.
