Dozens of soldiers of the 21st Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are reported missing in the area of Miropole, Sumy region. As reported by the Russian security forces on June 2, many soldiers drowned while trying to cross the Psel River, as the command sent them to the task in bulletproof vests.

"Dozens of soldiers have been reported missing since May 11, and contact with them was lost at the beginning of the month. The Ukrainian command sent them in body armor across the Psel River, and as a result, many drowned," RIA Novosti quoted a statement.

According to the source, relatives of the Ukrainian servicemen tried to clarify their fate. Information about the losses became known only a few days ago, when some Ukrainian military propagandists confirmed the liberation of the village of Miropole by Russian forces. The Russian Defense Ministry previously reported that the settlement was liberated on May 2.
