Trump appointed Bill Pulte Acting Director of National Intelligence
US President Donald Trump has appointed Bill Pulte, director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, as acting Director of National Intelligence. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal on June 2.
"Trump announced that he was appointing Bill Pulte, a close associate who heads the Federal Housing Finance Agency, as acting director of national Intelligence," the material says.
He will temporarily hold this position until Trump appoints a permanent successor. The head of the White House said that Pulte "has extensive experience in managing the most sensitive issues in America."
Pulte will replace Tulsi Gabbard, who resigned in May to support her husband in the fight against a rare form of bone cancer.
The Daily Wire reported on May 23 that Gabbard intends to release the results of several high-profile investigations before leaving office. It is noted that Gabbard oversaw the publication of more than 500,000 previously classified government documents. Among them are materials related to the assassination of former US President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy and Nobel Peace Prize winner Martin Luther King.
