A criminal case was opened against 20-year-old and 23-year-old men who were fishing in the Gryazinsky district of the Lipetsk region. The damage from their actions was estimated at almost 40 thousand rubles.

As GOROD48 explains with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region, residents of Lipetsk were engaged in illegal fishing with nets on the territory of the Lipetsk State Natural Zoological Reserve.

On April 19, the fishermen were detained red-handed by employees of the regional department for the protection and use of wildlife and aquatic biological resources. Using eight nets, they caught 35 fish in the Matyr River, including pike, roach, grouper, bream, perch and walleye.

In relation to poachers, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of a subscription not to leave and proper behavior. The Gryazinsky interdistrict prosecutor's office demands compensation for the damage caused to the environment.

Earlier it was reported that restrictions on fishing in lakes began to apply in the Kurgan region on May 20. The ban will be in effect until June 20. The reason is the beginning of spawning. Commercial fishing is completely stopped during the spawning period. Fish hunters are allowed to fish only from the shore with one float or bottom rod, spinning rod or feeder. One fisherman is allowed to have no more than two hooks. It is forbidden to use boats.
