Specialists of the Moscow city management complex will update the asphalt pavement on six sections of the Kremlin Ring. This was announced on Tuesday, June 2, by Peter Biryukov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping.

According to him, the renovation will affect Moskvoretskaya Embankment, Mokhovaya Street, as well as Borovitskaya, Novaya, Staraya and Lubyanka squares. The road surface on these sections was last changed in 2022, and its warranty period is three years. One of the main reasons for the repair was the rutting that occurs due to heavy traffic and affects the comfort and safety of drivers. The work will be carried out mainly at night, when traffic is lower, according to the Moscow City News agency.

The repair will take place in several stages: first, specialists will remove the old asphalt layer, then put the wells and rain intake grilles in order, after which they will lay a new coating and apply markings.

Biryukov noted that modern technologies and asphalt-concrete mixtures produced at city factories are used for repairs, Moscow 24 notes.
