Employees of Mosvodokanal, together with representatives of the Moscow Ministry of Emergency Situations, completed the spring inspection of fire hydrants. In total, experts examined 62 thousand devices on the company's balance sheet.

On June 2, the press service of the metropolitan complex of urban economy reported that each hydrant had passed a three-stage inspection: specialists assessed the condition of the housing and tightness, checked the water supply using a fire pump, and also measured the pressure in the network. According to the results of the inspection, all fire hydrants were recognized as serviceable and ready for operation, the Moscow City News agency reports.

The work lasted for two months, and about 100 specialists were involved in it every day. It is noted that cooperation between water supply services and firefighters in Moscow has been going on since the middle of the 19th century, when the first fire wells appeared in the city. Later, the water supply networks began to be equipped with fire taps and designed to meet the needs of emergency situations, writes Moscow 24.
