A civilian was killed as a result of a strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) in the village of Suzemka, Bryansk region. This was announced on June 2 by Acting Governor Egor Kovalchuk.

"The Ukrainian fascists hit the village of Suzemka with MLRS. A civilian was killed. I express my deep condolences to the relatives of the deceased," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

Three citizens and an employee of the State Unitary Enterprise TSN "Protection" Bryansk", who helped them, were also injured. All the injured were hospitalized, and they are receiving all necessary medical care.

Four civilians, including an assistant train driver, were injured during an attack by Ukrainian Armed Forces drones in the Bryansk region on June 1. It was noted that the strikes were carried out using FPV drones.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on the same day that the Kiev leadership had decided to give the conflict a new quality and open a "new page" in a number of its crimes. Describing Kiev's actions, the president noted that this was their conscious choice. The Head of state also announced a discussion of Russia's response to the attack in Starobilsk.
