Lenta Group has announced the acquisition of a 100% stake in RFB-Retail LLC— the operator of the OK hypermarket chain. This was announced on June 2 by the group's press service.

The deal has already been approved by the Federal Antimonopoly Service and provides for the transfer of all assets of the company under the control of the buyer, they said. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.

The transaction is structured without a monetary component: Lenta assumes the debt obligations of the acquired company as payment for the business. According to Infoline, after the completion of the transaction, Lenta's share in the hypermarket segment may grow to 39%.

The perimeter will include 75 OK hypermarkets with a total retail area of 478,000 square meters, as well as four distribution centers with a total area of 107,000 square meters. The facilities are located in six federal districts of Russia, including Northwestern, Central, Southern, Siberian, Volga and Ural.

On April 24, Lenta Group informed Izvestia that the first hypermarket under the Family brand was opened in Saratov. The new brand is closer to the core of the target audience of stores, which seeks to cover a wide range of needs, saving the family budget.
