Six car brands changed car prices in Russia in May

In May 2026, prices for new cars of six car brands officially represented on the market changed in Russia. The analytical agency Autostat reported this in its Telegram channel on June 2.

So, in the first half of the month, Hongqi, Jaecoo, Omoda, Solaris and VGV brands rewrote the price lists. The first two had multidirectional price changes, the next two raised prices for new cars, and the last brand listed reduced the cost of models.

The most noticeable rise in price in rubles in the first half of May was recorded for the Solaris HC crossover — by 65-90 thousand rubles. The most serious decrease was noted in the Jaecoo J8 crossover produced in 2025 — minus 200 thousand rubles.

In the second half of the month, price changes were noted for only one brand. Lada Granta vans in all versions, except for the refrigerator, have increased in price by 51 thousand rubles, and the Granta-based on-board platform has become more expensive by 48 thousand rubles.

Russians' spending on used cars set a new record in 2026. As noted on May 29, in April, Russians purchased 542.2 thousand used cars, spending 640.1 billion rubles on them. This amount was 14% higher than the result of April last year and turned out to be 13% more than in March this year.
