The criminologist assessed the version of the murder of the boarders near Omsk
Criminologist Mikhail Ignatov appreciated the version about the murder of the boarders near Omsk. In conversation with aif.ru On Tuesday, June 2, he noted that the probable cause of the tragedy was a whirlpool that could pull people under water. In his opinion, this is most likely an accident, and the version that the dead could have drowned each other is unlikely. He also noted that the criminal nature of the incident raises doubts.
The regional office of the Investigative Committee reported that the main version of the incident remains drowning. No signs of violent death were found on the woman's body. The body of her companion was found later, so there is no relevant information on it yet.
Earlier, on May 25, 43-year-old Olga and her companion Anatoly went skiing on the Irtysh and disappeared, notes Life.ru . Their disappearance became known on May 28. A few days later, the search began: the woman's body was found on May 30 next to two boots, and the man was found on the morning of June 1, the website writes kp.ru . Even drones were involved in the search operation, notes 360.ru . The tragedy raised a lot of questions from the couple's friends. Olga and Anatoly had been together for about 20 years and were fond of outdoor activities — skiing and snowboarding, regularly going out on the water on boots. According to local residents, it is especially surprising that both experienced athletes died at once.
In May, the Irtysh River poses an increased danger to boarders due to strong currents, whirlpools and cold water. The water temperature during this period is about + 13 degrees, so a person trapped in it can quickly lose strength and cannot cope with the current, RIAMO notes.
The investigation of the criminal case initiated into the fact of the unknown disappearance of a 43-year-old woman and her 40-year-old roommate continues, writes RT. The causes and circumstances of the incident are being established, IA Regnum reports.
