The expert compared the average mileage of electric and gasoline cars in Russia
The average annual mileage of an all-electric car in Russia was 25% less than that of gasoline cars and 18% less than that of hybrid cars. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on June 2.
According to him, the average annual mileage of an electric car in the Russian Federation is now about 12.5 thousand km. Gasoline and diesel passenger cars travel an average of 16.8 thousand km per year. For hybrid cars, this figure is slightly less — 15.3 thousand km.
As the analyst noted, for calculations he took data from classifieds for five months of the current year, the sample included more than 850 ads for the sale of cars on the secondary market.
He pointed out that the year of production of cars was limited to the range from 2022 to 2024, since older cars are more often used to roll the mileage. In addition, the number of electric cars/hybrids on sale until 2022 turned out to be significantly less.
Earlier, on June 1, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that the provisions of the new set of rules "Parking cars. Fire safety requirements" do not establish a ban on parking electric vehicles. It does not tighten administrative liability, which applies to violators of fire safety, and does not establish a ban on parking electric cars. There are no restrictions on the placement of parking spaces for electric vehicles in open parking lots.
