Synergy has launched an initial military training course for students

The University of Synergy has begun to teach students basic military training, the university's press service reported. The classes are held as an element of the testing of the NVP textbook developed by the Synergy University and DOSAAF with the participation of the Avangard Center for Military-Patriotic Education.

300 students are participating in the pilot project. The training is divided into theoretical and applied parts. Lectures are held at the university, practical classes are held during specially organized training camps at the Avangard Center.

"Initial military training is not only about the skills needed to defend the country. These are basic competencies that will be useful in any life situation: the ability to navigate the terrain, provide first aid, work in a team, and make decisions under stressful conditions," said Vadim Lobov, President of Synergy Corporation.

According to him, the addition of NVP to the curriculum will logically complement the student training system. "I am sure that the knowledge gained will help the guys not only in their careers, but also in their lives," Lobov emphasized.

During the lectures, students study the design of unmanned aerial vehicles and master the principles of working with them. They understand the basics of topography: they learn to read maps, navigate the terrain, and determine coordinates. A separate section is devoted to radiation, chemical and biological protection — students get acquainted with personal protective equipment, gain theoretical knowledge of how to act in conditions of infection.

Tactical medicine plays an important role in theoretical training. Students study algorithms for first aid: stopping bleeding, applying bandages, transport immobilization, basic resuscitation measures. Theoretical classes are supplemented with stories about the exploits of defenders of the Fatherland and participants in a special military operation to form a value attitude to the defense of the Motherland.

At the Avangard Center, students practice practical aspects of tactical medicine and first aid skills in the field, engage in physical, combat and fire training, as well as master the techniques of army hand-to-hand combat, told Synergy. Moreover, they consolidate the knowledge gained in lectures on military topography, radiation, chemical and biological protection and radio communications in practical classes. After the training camp, students undergo a comprehensive test.

The course is taught by combat veterans who also act as curators and mentors for students in their daily lives. The workshop is designed in such a way as to bring the learning process as close as possible to real conditions, the university emphasized.

Earlier, Synergy University, together with DOSAAF and the Avangard Center for Military-Patriotic Education, presented a basic textbook on basic military training at a press conference at the Izvestia Training Center. The presentation was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Sholban Kara-ool and Hero of Russia, member of the SVO Andrei Grigoriev.
