The summer heat can seriously affect not only the appearance of the car interior, but also the operation of its electronic systems. Under the influence of direct sunlight, interior materials wear out faster, and the temperature inside the car often rises significantly above the outdoor temperature. Ashot Yeritsyan, Executive Director of the Department for Work with Partners at Sberbank, told Izvestia on June 4 which elements of the car are most vulnerable in hot weather and how to protect the interior from overheating.

According to the expert, prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation and high temperatures accelerates the wear of plastic parts, leather and fabric trim, as well as interior decorative elements. Over time, materials can fade, dry out, and lose their original appearance. Such changes are especially noticeable in cars that regularly stay in the open sun.

"The front panel, steering wheel, seats and multimedia systems are considered the most sensitive to heat. When exposed to sunlight, plastic gradually loses its elasticity and can become cracked. Leather trim becomes tougher and wears out faster without additional care," the expert explained.

At the same time, the effects of high temperature are not limited to aesthetic defects. As Yeritsyan noted, constant overheating can negatively affect the operation of electronic components of the car, including multimedia systems, sensors and battery. In addition, the hot interior creates an additional burden on the air conditioning system, which requires more time and energy to cool the air. This can affect both the comfort of the driver and passengers, as well as fuel consumption.

The expert stressed that it is possible to reduce the negative impact of the sun through simple preventive measures. The most effective way is to park your car in the shade or in covered parking lots. Additional protection is provided by sunscreens, tinted windows within the framework of current regulations, as well as special care products for plastic and leather interior elements.

It is also recommended to ventilate the car regularly in hot weather and, if possible, not leave it in direct sunlight for a long time. According to the expert, such measures help to preserve the appearance of the interior, extend the service life of materials and avoid additional costs for their restoration.

Earlier, on May 15, experts said that car tires are a technically complex product, the properties of which change over time.: the level of traction decreases, the risk of aquaplaning increases, as well as noise during movement.
