Russia will work out the issue of prescribing rehabilitation for drunk drivers

In Russia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Justice will work until 2027 on the issue of assigning responsibility for medical rehabilitation to drivers who have been held accountable for driving under the influence. It follows from the government plan on June 2.

"The study of the issue of securing the possibility, when imposing punishment for administrative offenses or crimes in the field of traffic to a person driving a vehicle in a state of intoxication, to impose on such a person the obligation to undergo diagnosis, preventive measures, treatment and (or) medical rehabilitation in connection with the use of psychoactive substances," RIA Novosti quotes the text of the document.
