Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations (UN) Vasily Nebenzia at a meeting of the UN Security Council on June 1 showed several photos of girls who died as a result of the terrorist attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Starobilsk.

"I already mentioned today that we will show which adults died in Starobilsk and what kind of fake it is. Here are photos of adults. Elena Martemyanova, 20 years old. An adult, yes. Anna Pogrebnichenko, 19 years old. The list continues. There are 21 photos with dates of birth and date of death," he said.

Nebenzia also condemned the words of Ukraine's permanent representative to the UN, Andriy Melnyk, saying that the cynicism with which he laughs at the dead children "surpasses all boundaries."

On June 1, the Russian permanent representative reported that the Western political establishment chose not to notice the terrorist attack committed by the Kiev regime in Starobilsk. According to him, the states of the European Union (EU) are deliberately turning a blind eye to the crimes of the regime of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.

Nebenzia said on May 28 that the brutality with which Kiev attacked children at a college in Starobilsk could be compared to the actions of the Nazis. He said that Nazi criminals during the Second World War, as well as Kiev at the present time, exterminated the civilian population.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the academic building and the dormitory of the Starobilsk Pedagogical College on May 22. A criminal case was opened in accordance with Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act") in connection with the incident, which killed 21 people and injured 65 others. As a result, foreign journalists who arrived at the damaged facility were banned from publishing reports from there.
