Rosobrnadzor announced the beginning of the main period for the completion of the OGE-2026 in Russia

The main period for the completion of the OGE-2026 starts in Russia on Tuesday, June 2, and it will last until June 6. This was reported on June 2 in Rosobrnadzor.

"The main period of the state final attestation (GIA) for graduates of grades 9 begins, which will last until July 6. The exams will be held in 87 regions of Russia and educational institutions in 58 foreign countries," RIA Novosti quoted the agency as saying.

In 2026, about 1.7 million graduates will take the OGE. To ensure the examination process, specialists will use more than 12 thousand certification points.

The first test of the main period, which will be held on June 2, will be the math exam. Next, on June 6, ninth graders will take computer science and foreign languages, and on June 9 — Russian. Exams in all other subjects are scheduled for June 15, 16 and 19. The reserve days for certification are scheduled for June 29, as well as July 2, 3 and 6.

Geography turned out to be the most sought—after elective subject this year, with more than 45% of graduates planning to take it. Almost 39% of the students chose computer science, and over 38% of the participants in the assessment chose social studies.

Rosobrnadzor reminded that in order to obtain a certificate of basic general education, students must successfully pass four exams. Two of them are mandatory — Russian and mathematics.
