The Government of the Russian Federation has approved new rules for the provision of paid services by medical organizations. The resolution was published on May 30 on the website of the official Internet portal of legal information.

"To approve the attached: rules for the provision of paid medical services by medical organizations; amendments to the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated May 11, 2023," the resolution says.

It is specified that the changes will take effect on September 1, 2026 and will be valid until September 1, 2031. The document was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on May 28 that Moscow is now an example of the digitalization of medicine, since while a patient is traveling in an ambulance, doctors can issue his "dossier." According to him, while the patient is in the ambulance, previous referrals, treatment methods and their effectiveness are recorded. By the time you arrive at the hospital, all the necessary information is already available. He stressed that such technologies are fundamentally changing the approach to medical care.
