Russia will introduce a single electronic ticket in the suburbs for different types of transport. This was announced on June 1 by the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Andrey Nikitin.

"The legal basis for this is already in place — this is the law, <...> adopted in August 2024, which allows you to issue a single electronic document," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to the minister, the main task is to create a single digital platform that will ensure transparent settlements between all carriers of different modes of transport. Nikitin noted that work is currently underway as part of the formation of a new Transport strategy until 2050. He added that the Ministry of Transport is committed to creating an independent and user-friendly system that will work as a single unit.

On June 1, the Russian Ministry of Transport shared initiatives to improve transport accessibility for families traveling with children. The agency plans to introduce a special road sign for parking large families, as well as conducting an experiment to provide them with discounts on taxi services.
