480 participants of the special military operation (SVO) won the preliminary vote of United Russia. This was announced on June 1 by the chairman of the party, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev during the summing up of the procedure.

"In total, more than 22,000 applications were submitted in the preliminary elections at all levels. This shows that people are really ready to participate in party work. <...> This is an unprecedented story, because not at the elections, I emphasize, but at the primaries, at the preliminary ballots, more than 10 million people have already decided on their position," he said.

In total, 1,361 representatives of the SVR registered to participate in the primaries, thus, more than a third of them became winners. Medvedev stressed that such a result testifies to the high confidence of citizens in the veterans of the special operation. He recalled the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin about the importance of integrating fighters into the public administration system.

Medvedev noted that the candidates have already started working with the appeals of voters on the ground. Such targeted assistance should precede the adoption of key documents, including the points of the party's people's program. According to the chairman of United Russia, many citizens' requests relate to everyday problems and do not require large-scale legislative changes, but are important for people's lives.

"To date, we have received more than 1.5 million requests from citizens. We analyzed them on party platforms <...>, on forums during expert discussions," the politician said.

Medvedev clarified that the work on the election document is based on seven key challenges. These include the demographic situation, the shortage of personnel and new professions, inequality in regional development, economic pressure and the development of technology. The list of priorities also includes issues of the country's security and countering the imposition of false values.

The chairman of the party stressed that the national program will be presented later in accordance with the legislation. At the same time, United Russia plans to present its manifesto in the near future, which is currently undergoing revision.

"It can become our political program, which will outline long-term strategic work prospects. This is our vision of the future," explained the deputy chairman of the Security Council.

During his speech, he also called on party members to take into account the situation in the country related to the ongoing military operations. Medvedev noted that this obliges each member of the party "to serve the Motherland in his place."

On May 31, at the voting completion ceremony, Medvedev announced that over 10 million Russians had participated as voters in the United Russia pre-election. According to him, the contest for the party's preliminary vote in the State Duma amounted to almost 19 people per seat. He also congratulated the winners in advance, noting that they had received the credit of popular trust, and urged those who did not pass the next stage not to despair.
