- Residents of the Ruzsky district of the Moscow region are asking to check the development of a quarry in the region
Residents of the Ruzsky municipal district of the Moscow region appealed to the governor of the region, Andrey Vorobyov, with a request to prevent the construction of a quarry between the village of Korchmanovo and the village of Annino without conducting an independent environmental, hydrological and transport expertise.
The appeal notes that the development of a quarry may pose a threat to environmental safety. According to the authors of the petition, lynxes, wild boars and roe deer live on the territory of the proposed construction, as well as gray herons. Residents are asking for public hearings and approvals and to take into account the opinion of environmentalists.
The head of the Ruza municipal district, Alexander Gorbylev, in turn, stressed that after conducting a survey of land plots, it was established that they were not located in the protection zone of reservoirs. At the moment, no work is being carried out on them, the fertile soil layer has been preserved.
Gorbylev added that rare and protected species of flora and fauna included in the Red Books of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Region are absent in the specified territory.
Alexander Kogan, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology, said on April 17 that the State Duma was insisting on the mandatory introduction of automatic emission control systems in hazardous industries to monitor the effectiveness of wastewater treatment plants.
According to him, using the proposed methodology will allow the government of the Russian Federation to understand whether enterprises have reached the established quotas, and people will have confidence that their right to a favorable environment is really protected.
