Sima Karkusova, the mother of 15 children, who was awarded the Order of the Mother Heroine by Russian President Vladimir Putin today, told Izvestia on June 1 that she copes with raising so many heirs without difficulty.

The woman, in a conversation with Izvestia correspondent Kirill Solodkov, noted that she copes with the upbringing of all heirs without difficulties. According to her, every time the process becomes easier, as the older children help to take care of the younger ones.

"It's an honor, of course, but I don't consider myself a heroine. Because I am their mother, I did it with love, not for the order," she said.

Karkusova's children described their mother as a kind and hardworking woman, noting that she deserved a state award.

On the same day, the large family of Alexandra and Mikhail Palyutin, who raise 13 children, received state awards. The couple noted that in a large family, all the hardships disappear immediately after returning home. According to Palutina, heroism nowadays consists in minute-by-minute dedication and constant life for the sake of others, in which one's own interests fade into the background.
