VTB announced plans to launch an online bank for children
VTB will launch an online banking service for children and teenagers aged 6 to 14 in the fall of 2026. The new digital service will allow young users to independently control expenses, learn how to save money and improve their financial literacy. Olga Skorobogatova, First Deputy President and Chairman of the Management Board of VTB, announced the bank's plans ahead of SPIEF 2026.
An online bank is created specifically for children and teenagers to help them master the basics of personal finance management in a familiar digital environment. According to VTB, the project will be developed during the year.
Now parents can already use the capabilities of their online bank to control children's cards. They have access to restrictions on the child's expenses — both for the day and for the month, as well as viewing the balance, transaction history and card management.
"We continue to develop digital products tailored to the needs of customers, even the smallest ones. For the alpha generation, the digital world is close and understandable — they do not learn how to use technology, but live in it. Our app will grow with the child, both in format and content. And parents will be able to guide and support their children thanks to modern digital services," Olga Skorobogatova added.
