Viktor Kungurov has been recognized as a victim in a criminal case involving the suicide of his son, Honored Artist of Russia and Opera singer Yevgeny Kungurov. Lawyer Evgeny Chernousov announced this on June 1.

"At first, there was a rather brief interrogation <...> after which a decision was made to recognize Kungurov's father as a victim in the case," he told RIA Novosti.
