- In Lublin, Poland, the flag of Ukraine was removed from the town hall due to Kiev's glorification of the UPA
The authorities of the city of Lublin in eastern Poland ordered the removal of the Ukrainian flag from the city hall due to Kiev's glorification of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation). This was announced on June 1 in a statement from the Lublin City Hall.
"The glorification of formations responsible for crimes against the civilian population damages the historical memory of our people, offends the memory of Polish victims and makes it difficult to build a sincere dialogue between our countries," TVP World TV channel quotes the text of the communique.
