Prospects for the development of the Caspian Media Forum discussed in Moscow

Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, and Igor Babushkin, Governor of the Astrakhan Region, met in Moscow. During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues, including the work of the Caspian Media Forum. Special attention was paid to the prospects for the development of this discussion platform, including the possibility of expanding the business program to strengthen international dialogue.

"Over the ten years of its existence, the Caspian Media Forum has gained a reputation as an important and authoritative platform for the exchange of experience and strengthening ties between professionals of the media community of the Caspian countries, and has become a traditional meeting place for those who sincerely care about the future of the Caspian region. Every year, fresh ideas and projects of the Forum participants give a powerful impetus to the development of a unified media space in the Caspian Sea and contribute to strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between peoples. I am confident that the platform has great prospects, including for an effective dialogue between representatives of the international expert community," Kobyakov stressed.

At the Caspian Media Forum, representatives of government authorities, political scientists, scientists, journalists and leaders of public organizations of the Caspian countries and the CIS discuss the interrelation of historical events and new geopolitical realities in the Caspian region, prospects for cooperation in the media field using the latest information technologies, the impact of transport routes and logistics chains on the socio-economic development of coastal states, as well as a balanced the state of ecosystems with the level of development of energy facilities in the region.

"Since 2014, the Caspian Media Forum in Astrakhan has been bringing together hundreds of specialists and experts from the media community from the Caspian littoral countries. Due to the current geopolitical situation and unprecedented sanctions pressure from the West, the role of this platform and trade and economic relations in the Caspian region is significantly increasing," Babushkin said.
