Norway allowed a revision of the position on joining the European Union
Norway may reconsider its attitude towards joining the European Union (EU) against the background of the changing situation in Europe. This was announced on June 1 by the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Espen Barth Eide.
"When we joined the European Economic Area, we joined a new trend, which was the single market. 30 years have passed, this favorable world has disappeared, and we need to honestly admit that we are in a more difficult situation. Those parts of the EU that we have decided not to join are becoming more and more important," she said in an interview with the Financial Times (FT) newspaper.
