Yekaterinburg metro station temporarily changed its name

In Yekaterinburg, the metro station Ploshchad 1905 was renamed 19.06. It happened on the eve of the "Night of Music" festival. The new name refers to the date of the musical event, June 19th.

As the organizers of the festival told <url>, the announcements are now being voiced by Vladimir Shokhin, a member of the Chaif group. He and his team will be closing the festival. The band will perform the song "Ray of the Golden Sun" as part of the "It's Getting Light" campaign.

In addition, an exhibition chronicling Ural Music Night will be opened on the station's platform. It will be a collaboration of the metro with the festival. The exhibition will be part of the program dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Yekaterinburg Metro.

More than a dozen stars are expected to participate in the "Night of Music" this year. Among them are Yulia Savicheva, Pizza, Thomas Mraz, Julia Peresild and the MANDRAGORA group.

Earlier it was reported that Yekaterinburg has identified a supplier for the purchase of 50 new three-section trams, which should arrive in the capital of the Urals by the end of the year. The winner of the auction was the Sberbank Leasing company. Two dozen trams are expected to arrive in the city by September 30, and the rest by December 25. The lease agreement will be valid until December 31, 2033. It assumes that the supplier himself will choose the manufacturer of trams based on the requirements of the purchase.
