Relations between Russia and China are not directed against third countries, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in a message to participants of the IX International conference "Russia and China" on June 1.: cooperation in a new era."
"Russian-Chinese relations do not imply restrictions on the sovereignty of any of the parties, are not bound by ideological frameworks, are not directed against third countries, and are resistant to the influence of external factors," Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko read out Lavrov's words.
The Russian Foreign Minister stressed that relations between Russia and China are the main stabilizing factor in international relations.
"The Russian-Chinese foreign policy bond, based on a broad community of interests and close approaches to international issues, is today the main stabilizing factor in world affairs," TASS cites the message.
The conference is organized by the Russian Council on International Affairs and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
On May 20, Lavrov announced that Russia and China trade 100% in rubles and yuan. He added that more and more countries are abandoning the dollar as the world's reserve currency.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the same time that many of the agreements signed by Russia and China were aimed at deepening economic cooperation between the two countries. Chinese President Xi Jinping, in turn, said that the trade exchange between Russia and China has exceeded $200 billion for the third year in a row.
