HC Lokomotiv terminated contracts with ten hockey players

Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, by mutual consent of the parties, terminated the employment agreements with ten leading players of the team. This was announced on June 1 by the press service of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) on its website.

Lokomotiv terminated the contracts with goalkeeper Daniil Isaev, defenders Alexey Bereglazov, Alexander Yelesin, Rushan Rafikov and Andrey Sergeev, forwards Denis Alekseev, Georgy Ivanov, Artur Kayumov, Alexander Polunin and Maxim Shalunov.

Starting from June 1, Lokomotiv has the right to sign new contracts with these hockey players already in the status of free agents. Such manipulations will allow them to legally reduce their salaries, and the new amount will be taken into account under the salary cap established by the KHL regulations.
