An earthquake of magnitude 6.0 occurred off the coast of Chile. This was announced on May 31 by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

It is noted that the source of the natural cataclysm lay at a depth of 25 km.

According to the center, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 134 km northwest of the capital of Chile, Santiago, and 38 km northwest of Vina del Mar.
