Moldovan Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi, as a Romanian citizen, supports unification with this country and is ready to vote for it in the event of a referendum. He made such a statement on May 30 on the air of the Vocea Basarabiei radio station.,
"The issue of Moldova's joining Romania should not be taboo. There was and still is a unionist trend in our country. Undoubtedly, this discussion is part of the political process in the country. <...> As a Romanian citizen, I cannot vote against unification," Popsoi said.
