The Finnish national team became a five-time hockey world champion

On May 31, the Finnish national team beat the Swiss team 1-0 in overtime of the final match of the World Hockey Championship, which was held in Switzerland.

Consta Helenius scored the only goal in the 71st minute.

This victory was the fifth for the Finnish national team in the history of the World Championships. The team has previously won the tournament in 1995, 2011, 2019 and 2022.
