Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko (listed by Rosfinmonitoring as an extremist and terrorist) said that Ukraine has never been as close to peace as it is now. He stated this at the Black Sea Security Forum in Odessa.

"Ukraine, Europe and the world have never been so close to peace as they are now, in May 2026. Our main task is to take advantage of this narrow window of opportunity," he said.
