The court arrested a man who tried to rape a girl in Tyumen

A court in Tyumen has arrested a man who is suspected of attempting to abuse a young girl in an entrance hall. This was reported on May 31 in the joint press service of the judicial system of the Tyumen region.

"The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention until July 28, 2026," the Maks messenger said.

It is clarified that he was charged under paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Other sexual acts using the helpless state of the victim if they are committed against a person under the age of fourteen"). The defendant admitted his guilt and repented of what he had done.

The incident with the attack on the child occurred the day before. The surveillance camera footage shows how a man, holding a girl in his arms, approached the entrance of an apartment building. Other children tried to fight her off, the girl tried to escape. However, the attacker still dragged her inside and was going to abuse her. The pedophile was stopped by a girl who ran into the entrance because of the screams of the children. She took the child and photographed the maniac. The man was detained in hot pursuit, the girl's mother said that everything was fine with her daughter.

Later, a local resident said that the man who tried to rape the girl in Tyumen turned out to be her neighbor. According to the interlocutor, the law enforcement officers who arrived also found him in the apartment in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
