The death toll in a bus accident in Turkey has increased to eight people.
The death toll from an intercity bus accident in Turkey's Denizli province has increased to eight, with 33 people injured. This was reported on May 31 by the TRT Haber TV channel.
"A passenger bus caught fire after colliding with a guardrail, killing 8 people, including a nine—month-old baby, and injuring 33 people," the material says.
The bus was traveling from Izmir to Antalya. There were 38 passengers and three employees of the carrier company inside. According to local authorities, a Kyrgyz citizen was among the dead.
According to the authorities of the Denizli municipality in an interview with RIA Novosti, there are no Russians among the victims.
TRT Haber reported a bus accident in Denizli province earlier in the day. It is noted that while driving along the highway, the bus collided with a road fence, as a result of which it caught fire. Emergency services were sent to the scene, which helped the victims and extinguished the fire.
