The statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin completely destroyed the narrative created by the European Union (EU) and personally by the head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen about the alleged Russian origin of the drone that hit a residential building in Romania. This was announced on May 31 by Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou.

"Putin's response has, in fact, shattered this narrative, completely deconstructing this whole line of accusations against Russia," he said on his YouTube channel.

Hristoforou added that the Russian president's statement on the lack of evidence negates the charges. In addition, the journalist said that Putin accurately indicated the absence of attempts at his own investigation of the EC.

Hristoforou also recalled similar cases with drones in Finland and the Baltic States, when the Russian Federation was also falsely accused of launching drones that fell there, she said. "Газета.Ru ".

On May 20, the Russian Embassy reported that the incident with the drone crash in Romania was a provocation by the Kiev regime, which is trying to draw NATO into a conflict with Russia. The diplomatic mission stressed that the events in Galat cannot be interpreted as hostile actions by Russia, and all statements are manipulative propaganda.

On May 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin called for waiting for the examination of the UAV wreckage in Romania. He recalled that in previous similar cases, it later turned out that the devices were not related to Russia and were manufactured in Ukraine.
