Anniversary festival of the "Movement of the First" opened in Moscow

The fifth international festival of Childhood and Youth "Movements of the First" has opened at VDNH in Moscow. This was announced on May 30 by the chairman of the Board of the movement, Artur Orlov.

The event will last until June 1 and will cover 89 regions of the country. The festival is dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and symbolizes the beginning of the summer holidays, Orlov noted, the recording is available on the movement's Telegram channel.

According to Orlov, the holiday unites children and adults, serves as a symbol of friendship, memory of the past and the connection of generations. Children from 28 countries came to visit the festival, which proves that friendship knows no borders, said the chairman of the movement's board.

The program includes the graduation ceremony of the Eaglets of Russia, the presentation of passports to young citizens, the start of the summer wellness campaign and the award ceremony for the winners of the Conversations about Important award. The third meeting of the International Association of Children's Organizations also opened on the first day.

In total, 11 million people joined the ranks of the "first", Putin said at the organization's congress.

On May 15 last year, the cultural and educational platform "Youth and children in the space of opportunities" was opened at the National Center "Russia", where each participant was able to plunge into the world of media, master different professions, find friends and like-minded people.
