The United States has banned transactions with Iran on safe transit through Hormuz

The US authorities have confirmed that American individuals are prohibited from entering into any agreements with Iran related to guarantees of safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, regardless of whether they involve payment. This was reported on May 30 by Bloomberg with reference to the Ministry of Finance of the country.

"Regardless of whether the payment has been made, U.S. citizens are prohibited from receiving services from the government of Iran, including services related to the guarantee of safe passage," the text says.

According to the Ministry of Finance, Tehran has created a new structure, the Persian Gulf Straits Administration, which is allegedly designed to collect fees from ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control has placed the organization on the sanctions list and warned about the risks of sanctions for interacting with it.
