The Ministry of Health has approved a new list of medical positions

The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has made changes to the list of positions of medical workers, adding 11 new specialties and removing 16 old ones. The relevant document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on May 30.

Thus, the specialties of a doctor in the medicine of healthy longevity, as well as a nutritionist, appeared. In addition, the list of positions includes a medical psychologist, a neuropsychologist and a specialist in physical rehabilitation. The changes will take effect on September 1, 2026.

At the same time, the following specialties were removed from the list: a diabetologist, a laboratory technician, a teenage psychiatrist, a district psychiatrist, a sexologist, a dentist and a paramedic narcologist. At the same time, the health workers who have been appointed to these positions will continue to work until a certain date.

Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Vadim Vankov announced on May 27 that in 2026 Russia will significantly expand the list of medical documents that can be obtained without visiting a doctor. The updated list will include a certificate of preventive vaccinations, a certificate of temporary disability, a certificate of absence of contact with infectious patients, and others.
