- A resident of Kiev, who was trying to cross the border with Romania, was driven up a tree by a bear
A Ukrainian who tried to illegally cross the border with Romania through a forest area came across a bear and had to surrender to the border guards to escape from the beast. This was reported on May 30 by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
"A resident of Kiev tried to illegally cross the border towards Romania through a mountainous area, but suddenly collided with a bear. To avoid danger, the man climbed a tree and called for help from there," the agency said in a Telegram channel post.
In the footage published by the border service, a resident of Kiev explains the situation by saying that he got lost in the forest. According to him, the connection on his mobile phone was poorly received and he could not call for help. However, when he climbed a tree in flight from the bear, he was still able to get through to the border guard. It is reported that an administrative protocol has been drawn up against the citizen.
In March, the Romania TV channel.TV reported that a 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen who crossed the border on a trike was detained in Romania. He was found to have a biometric passport with him. The aircraft used by the man to cross the border was found in the garden behind a house in the village of Frateuci Veki.
