The DPRK Foreign Ministry stated a common opinion with Russia on strategic issues

Moscow and Pyongyang, being allies, have a common opinion on all strategic issues. This was announced on May 30 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Choi Song-hee, speaking at the opening ceremony at the Russian Embassy of a memorial plaque to former head of the diplomatic mission Alexander Matsegore.

"Today, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation share a common opinion on all strategic issues, which corresponds to the level of allied relations," TASS quoted her as saying.

The North Korean Foreign Minister added that the parties, consistently defending their common interests, are making progress in both comprehensive and bilateral contacts. The result of such interaction, as she explained, is to increase the welfare of the peoples of the two states.

The Orel region and South Hwanghae can develop agriculture together, while in Kursk they want to rename streets in honor of Korean fighters.

On March 25, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un sent a telegram to Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which he assured that Pyongyang would always be close to Moscow. This decision, he stressed, is the choice and unchanging will of his entire people.

Some time later, on April 26, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov announced the agreements reached by Russia in long-term military cooperation with the DPRK. At the same time, he announced that the current year would be full of bilateral contacts in a number of areas.
